Q: Which game servers do you offer? Which do you plan to offer in the future?
A: At the moment, we offer CS:S and TF2. CoD4 will be added in the future. We are open to adding more games. If you would like us to host a game for you, contact us (see the Contact Us page) and we’ll see what we can organise.
Q: Where are your servers located? What are they?
A: Our servers are located in the epic GlobalSwitch datacenter in Sydney, with a network uptime of 99.99% (Actually it’s 100% but who’s counting this stuff). So we can provide you the best value, we’re starting with smaller servers to keep overheads down. Currently, our servers are dual core Xeon 3050s, with 4GB of RAM and high speed storage. We have a dedicated 100Mb/s link to our each server direct into multiple backbone points, so we can guarantee you the lowest latency gaming possible. As our services grow, we will expand our range of servers.
Q: What are some common mods you can set up for us?
A: Common mods are SourceMod (simple game administration), various plugins for sourcemod, CS:S GunGame. And those are just a few of the possibilites. If you’re looking for something and can’t find it, ask! We might already have it, or know where to find it.
Q: Can I change the size of my server?
A: Sure! But only once a month and you’ll need to pay accordingly to your new server size limit.
Q: Can we have a test server to see how well it runs?
A: Sure! Just jump in to one of our Public CS:S servers. They run on the same servers, and in the same configuration, as the servers we provide for clients.
Q: Do your servers have HTTP mirrors for custom files?
A: We offer this on a request basis. Contact us via one of the many contact options, and we’ll have it set up in no time at all.
Q: Do you have a money back offer?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot offer a money back guarantee. Our servers are of the highest standard, such that there should be no reason. If you feel your server isn’t performing as it should, contact us, let us know you’re having issues, and we’ll sort them out. We aim to have the best quality servers in Australia, and resolving issues is in everyone’s best interests. We will always endeavour to have public game servers running for you to try before you buy.
Q: Will you sponsor our team?
A: Probably not! But, feel free to contact us anyway. Unfortunately, we can’t sponsor every team that asks. If we did, we’d go bankrupt. If we ever decide to further our sponsorships, we’ll keep a list of people who have contacted us about sponsorship, see how they’re doing, and go from there.
